This opened grained wood ranges in color from a light reddish brown heartwood to a white sapwood. Hickory can be very uniform in color or contain wide color variations within the same board. Hickory boards containing mineral streaks, tight knots and extreme color variations are usually separated out for more rustic applications. Our Hickory doors can be finished natural or stained to even out some of the color variations. Botanical name: Carya Spp Noticeable differences in color and graining may occur between the above sample and finished doors. |
