Ash Doors
Ash is an open grained wood with a grain pattern similar to Red Oak, but without the reddish tone. The heartwood of this wood has a gray-brown color while the sapwood tends to be a light creamy color. Generally straight grained and even textured. Very strong and is used for such things as baseball bats, axe handles and hockey sticks. Our Ash Doors can be finished natural or stained. Ash does not absorb stain as well as red oak and is not recommended for dark stains. Picture is shown with a clear finish.
Botanical name: Fraxinus Americana
Noticeable differences in color and graining may occur between the above sample and finished doors.
